Supervisor- Warehouse Shift

You will be responsible for supervising shift operations in the warehouse, overseeing material handlers in shipping and receiving activities to ensure smooth operations according to standards and safety procedures. Additionally, you will assist Leads in managing personnel allocation, work assignments, and inventory accuracy. You will participate in troubleshooting minor issues and ensure proper shift headcount allocation for Shipping & Receiving operations. Your duties will include performing daily receiving documentation, ensuring material issuance according to requestor requirements, and training new shift associates. You will also assist in audits of process and product quality, manage material handling, supply stocking, and maintain inventory accuracy. Furthermore, you will manage attendance, performance problems, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with work rules and procedures. As part of the team, you will foster an empowered work environment focused on improving performance and quality. Safety culture promotion, good housekeeping practices, and involvement in Warehouse Continuous Improvement projects are vital aspects of your role. You are expected to have 5 years of warehouse experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to motivate team members positively. Educationally, a Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Transportation or higher is required, with Warehouse Operational Certification or Lean Certification being advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse and inventory control concepts, good supervisory skills, and attention to detail are essential competencies. Adaptability to change, team orientation, and consistent coaching provision are also key skills required for this position. In terms of responsibilities, you will ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials, minimize safety incidents, and maintain inventory accuracy. Failure to perform these responsibilities will have a significant impact on First Solar's production and financial performance. Reporting to the Head of Integrated Supply Chain-India, this role involves managing Warehouse operations supporting Module Manufacturing operations. Some physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, occasional stair climbing, and occasional lifting up to 27 pounds. Compliance with safety standards, the ability to wear personal protective equipment, and possibly a respirator are necessary. Interaction with people and technology in the office setting is also a requirement. This full-time position is located at Plot No.A-1/1 SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, 602105, IN. Some travel, up to 10% of the time, including internationally, may be required for this role.,
