As a Senior English Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Next Education India Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality English language learning content, focusing on test preparation for international exams like IELTS, TOEFL, OET, and PET. Your expertise in English language pedagogy, coupled with certifications such as CELTA, TESOL, or DELTA, will be highly valued in this position. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and refining English language curriculum and learning materials for school-level and test-prep students. You will create engaging lesson plans, sample questions, assessments, and multimedia resources that align with CEFR and global test standards. Ensuring content quality, linguistic accuracy, and pedagogical soundness will be key aspects of your role. Conducting research on best practices in English language teaching, benchmarking content against international standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams are also part of your duties. You will review, edit, and proofread content generated by junior SMEs or freelance writers to maintain academic guidelines, brand tone, and curriculum frameworks. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in English language content development for competitive or international English proficiency exams. A degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or Applied Linguistics is required, along with a deep understanding of CEFR levels and testing frameworks. Strong academic and instructional writing skills, editorial proficiency, and attention to detail are essential. Preferred skills include prior experience in digital education or edtech content creation, familiarity with instructional design principles and learning management systems, and proficiency in Google Workspace.
