Job Title: Student Welfare Services

Role Overview:

The Student Welfare Services will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment for students. This individual will be responsible for implementing welfare initiatives, managing student grievances, supporting mental health and well-being programs, and facilitating access to essential student resources and services. The role demands empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive attitude toward enhancing the overall student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Support Services:

1. Serve as the first point of contact for student welfare inquiries.
2. Facilitate access to mental health and counseling resources
3. Provide guidance on academic and non-academic support systems.

Welfare Program Implementation:

1. Assist in designing and executing programs aimed at enhancing student well-being, including orientation, wellness workshops, awareness campaigns, and peer support initiatives.
2. Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to deliver these programs effectively.

Grievance Management:

1. Receive, document, and escalate student complaints and concerns to relevant departments.
2. Track resolution progress and ensure timely and appropriate responses.

Communication & Outreach:

1. Develop and disseminate student welfare materials such as newsletters, policy briefs, and event promotions.
2. Manage communication channels including email, social media, and welfare portals.

Event Planning and Coordination:

1. Organize student welfare events, awareness days, and training sessions.
2. Collaborate with student bodies and clubs for inclusive engagement
3. Data Management & Reporting
4. Maintain records of student cases, participation in welfare activities, and feedback.
5. Assist in preparing periodic reports and presentations on welfare metrics and outcomes.

Key Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field.
2. Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in student affairs, counseling, or administrative support in an educational environment.

Skills:

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
2. High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
4. Organizational and problem-solving capabilities
5. Proficiency in MS Office; experience with student information systems is a plus.
