Student Counselor

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions for students dealing with a range of emotional, mental, and behavioral health issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, academic struggles, and more.
• Facilitate group counseling sessions and workshops to address common student issues such as stress management, study skills, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships.
• Conduct assessments of students' mental health needs and refer them to external resources, specialists, or support groups as needed.
• Work closely with students facing academic challenges, helping them develop strategies for coping with academic stress and providing resources for improving performance.
• Develop and implement workshops or seminars on topics like mental health awareness, study skills, resilience, time management, and life balance.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to promote student well-being and provide insight on student mental health issues that may affect academic performance or social integration.
• Maintain confidential records of student counseling sessions, progress, and recommendations in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Promote mental health resources and create awareness about available counseling services through outreach initiatives and campus events.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in providing counseling or psychological services, preferably in a higher education or student-centered setting.
• Strong understanding of common psychological issues affecting students, including stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
• Knowledge of ethical standards and confidentiality requirements in counseling practice.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
