Structure Design Engineer

As a Senior Structural Engineer at Samp Engineering Inc., you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing structural components and systems for buildings and other structures. Your responsibilities will include evaluating the strength and stability of existing and proposed structures, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations, and preparing structural calculation packages, reports, and design documents. You will also manage an engineering and drafting team, coordinate with stakeholders, and actively participate in project meetings. Key Responsibilities: - Design and analyze structural components and systems for buildings and other structures. - Evaluate the strength and stability of existing and proposed structures. - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. - Prepare structural calculation packages, reports, and design documents. - Manage engineering and drafting team. - Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders. - Attend project meetings and actively participate when required. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. - Minimum 4-6 years of experience in managing USA-based projects. - Experience with at least two of the primary construction materials: steel, concrete, wood, and masonry. - Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, RISA 2D/3D, SAFE, Enercalc, s-concrete, etc. - Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles. - Understanding of the construction process and project life cycle. - Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
