Structural Engineering Intern

As a Structural Engineering Intern at our company, you will be involved in the design and analysis of structures affected by fluid forces such as dams, bridges, offshore platforms, and hydraulic systems. Your role will be crucial in understanding fluid mechanics and its impact on various structures. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your knowledge of fluid behaviour to evaluate pressures, buoyancy, and flow-related impacts. - Support calculations of fluid pressures, estimate hydrodynamic loads (drag, lift, wave forces), and assist in structural response analysis. - Show interest in civil engineering applications, especially in structures exposed to water and wind forces. - Demonstrate technical proficiency by using CFD tools, structural analysis software (optional), and understanding material behavior under stress. Qualifications Required: - Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of fluid mechanics, preferably with a focus on fluid statics and dynamics. - Basic skills in fluid-structure interaction are necessary to perform calculations and assist in analysis. - Interest in civil engineering applications, particularly in structures affected by water and wind forces. - Technical proficiency in CFD tools, optional structural analysis software, and knowledge of material behavior. - Fluent English speaking skills are essential for effective communication with international clients and collaborators. - Priority will be given to Masters and PhD students for this internship position.,
