Structural Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional structures.
• Utilize engineering software and tools to analyze structural systems and components, including finite element analysis (FEA), computer-aided design (CAD), and building information modeling (BIM) software.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs.
• Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess existing conditions, provide structural assessments, and offer recommendations for repair or retrofitting.
• Review and analyze contractor submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents to ensure compliance with design requirements and specifications.
• Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and coordination efforts with project stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, project budgets, and schedules.
• Stay current with industry trends, developments, and best practices in structural engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Masters in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution (Master s degree preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, including loadings, materials behavior, and design codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE).
• Experience with seismic and wind design considerations preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet project deadlines.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Experience with advanced structural analysis techniques, such as nonlinear analysis and dynamic analysis.
