Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Perform structural analysis of aero engine components and rapid design iterations as part of a fast-paced dynamic team
2. Perform calculations and analysis for loads, static and dynamic stresses, fatigue & creep.
3. Go through rapid design and hardware iterations to develop critical hot section components
4. Collaborate with other team members and account for interdependencies on other components
5. Carry out modal analysis of rotary components
6. Assist in carrying out vibration experiments, analysing data and
7. Collaborate with propulsion, aerodynamicists and material engineers to optimize designs for high-temperature and high-stress environments.

Qualifications:

1. Understanding of aero engines and critical parts
2. Bachelor&aposs degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering; master&aposs preferred.
3. 2 - 3 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
4. Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus)
5. Proficiency in first principles based analytical calculations and modeling
6. Understanding heat treatment processes, standards and best practices
7. Understanding of materials/super alloys for high temperature conditions
