Structural Draughtsman

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare structural GA drawings, framing plans, sections, and details for:
• RCC structures (footings, slabs, beams, columns, shear walls)
• Structural steel (beams, columns, connections, bracings)
• Develop detailed reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and construction details as per engineers design intent.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, MEP, and other consultant drawings to identify and resolve clashes.
• Revise and update drawings based on engineer comments, RFIs, and design changes.
• Maintain drawing standards, layer management, and file organization as per company CAD standards.
• Assist engineers during permit, IFC, and shop drawing stages.
• Support preparation of submission sets, revisions, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Meet project deadlines and maintain drawing accuracy and consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / Drafting (or equivalent).

• 3 to 8 years

  of experience as a Structural Draughtsman in a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  (mandatory).
• Good understanding of RCC and structural steel detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret structural design drawings and calculations.
• Familiarity with Indian standards (IS codes); exposure to ACI / AISC / US drawings is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Good communication skills and willingness to coordinate with engineers and team members.
  

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Experience with international projects (US / Middle East).
• Exposure to Revit (basic knowledge is a plus).
• Experience in preparing permit, GFC and IFC drawing sets.
