Structural Designer I

As a 3D Modeler at KP&J A&E, your role will involve producing 3D models in line with industry guidelines, instruction, and KP&J A&E standards. You will be responsible for clearly annotating, dimensioning, and detailing 2D production drawings to adhere to KP&J standards. Additionally, you will manage the BIM workflow, including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals. It will be your duty to maintain structural BIM/CAD files for use in structural design drawings by performing clean-up, audit, reference, and troubleshooting tasks. You will also collaborate with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modeling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery. Utilizing tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across various disciplines is another crucial aspect of your job. As needed, you will create 3D views or renderings for marketing or project purposes. Key Responsibilities: - Produce 3D models following instruction, industry guidelines, and KP&J A&E standards - Annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings according to KP&J standards - Manage BIM workflow, including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals - Maintain structural BIM/CAD files for structural design drawings - Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modeling content and approaches - Utilize tools like Navisworks for project collaboration - Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions - Create 3D views or renderings for marketing or project use Qualifications: - 0 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery - Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software - Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software - Strong understanding of building construction - Ability to think in 3-D and draw sections and details with minimal input from engineers - Proficiency in written and verbal communication - Enjoy working as part of a team In addition to the job description and qualifications, the company requires candidates to have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Professional experience in AutoCAD and Revit is also mandatory for this role. Please note that the job is full-time with a day shift from Monday to Friday. The company offers a yearly bonus.
