To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for a Metal Structural Design Engineer with strong expertise in steel design and modern structural analysis software.
This role requires a detail-oriented engineer who can deliver safe, cost-effective, and efficient structural designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Analysis & Design
- Carry out structural analysis and design of steel/metal structures such as tanks, silos, platforms, trusses, frames, staircases, and modular assemblies.
- Perform load calculations (dead load, live load, wind load, seismic load, snow load, hydrostatic load, etc.) as per IS codes and international standards.
- Develop detailed design models using STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent tools.
- Validate structural stability against buckling, fatigue, vibration, and serviceability criteria.
Design Documentation & Drawings
- Prepare detailed design reports, structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and GA (General Arrangement) drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review vendor drawings and ensure alignment with design intent.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications for procurement and fabrication.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, MEP engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, fabrication, and site erection stages.
- Conduct design revisions, value engineering, and cost optimization without compromising safety and quality.
- Attend client meetings to explain design concepts and resolve queries.
Standards & Compliance
