Structural Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural design concepts and detailed engineering drawings for residential, commercial projects.
• Analyze structural systems to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with building codes.
• Collaborate with architects and Project engineers & consultants to integrate structural solutions into overall project design.
• Conduct feasibility studies and structural assessments for new developments and renovations.
• Prepare design reports, structural calculations, and technical specifications.
• Review project drawings and provide technical support during construction.
• Conduct site inspections to verify implementation of structural designs.
• Optimize design solutions to balance cost, safety, sustainability, and aesthetics.
• Stay updated on industry standards, new technologies, and green building practices.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Masters preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) / Chartered Engineer license (or equivalent) preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in structural design, preferably in real estate or construction.
• Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, international standards, and seismic design.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
