Structural Design Engineer For Highrise building projects

Job Summary

We are seeking seasoned structural design professionals to support our structural design teams based in Mumbai and Bangalore. The candidate will coordinate with the larger multidisciplinary design team, present design solutions to clients, attend external meetings, and obtain approvals from client engineers.

Position: Manager / Engineer - Structural Design

Location: Wagle Estate, Thane and Bangalore

Experience: 5 to 14 years

Education: M.Tech/M.E. in Structural Engineering from reputed institutes

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with the central design team and other disciplines (Architecture, MEP, etc.).

- Present structural designs to clients and stakeholders.

- Attend external meetings and represent the structural design team.

- Obtain design approvals from client engineers and authorities.

- Analyze structural components and configurations.

- Calculate loads, stresses, and strains due to usage and environmental factors.

- Perform dynamic analysis and assess material strength (concrete, steel, brick).

- Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and design documents.

- Conduct site inspections and assess structural integrity.

- Develop design strategies to enhance safety and efficiency.

- Coordinate with geotechnical engineers for soil investigations.

- Use CAD and simulation tools for structural modeling.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- 5 to 14 years of structural design experience post-Masters or equivalent.

- Proven experience in delivering large-scale civil projects.

- Exposure to various structural types (concrete/steel) across sectors like residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, airports

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and IS codes.

- Proficiency in software: ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, IDEA StatiCa, RCDC.

- Familiarity with BIM tools like Revit or Tekla.

- Prior consultancy design experience is highly preferred.
