Job Title: Title Examiner Location: Bangalore Work Mode: Work from Office (Mid-shift Rotation) Experience: Minimum 3+ Years Education: Any Graduate / 3-Year Diploma Holder Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Examiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews and analyses of real estate title records to ensure clear property ownership and identify any legal encumbrances. This role demands strong title research skills, knowledge of legal documentation, and a customer-centric mindset. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive title searches (30-year / 60-year / Patent Search) for residential and commercial properties. Examine and interpret a wide range of property documents including deeds, liens, probates, divorce records, and AOH (Affidavit of Heirship) documents. Determine legal ownership and verify title chain continuity. Analyze various legal descriptions such as Vesting, Sectional, and Metes and Bounds. Make judgment calls on complex title matters based on supporting documents. Familiarity with title processes across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico is preferred. Collaborate with internal teams to clarify inconsistencies and resolve title-related issues. Maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency in all title examination activities. Location : Bangalore, India Work Type : Full-time, On-site (5 days a week) Reporting To : CFO & Finance Leadership (US) and Head of Stronghold India Position Overview Stronghold Investment Management, a private equity firm, is seeking a seasoned and highly capable Vice President or Director of Accounting to lead accounting operations at its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bangalore. The role combines ownership of global financial processes with oversight of local India statutory requirements , delivered in partnership with internal team members and external vendors. This role is primarily focused on supporting the firms global fund, management company, and corporate accounting needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, operational rigor, and experience working within a GCC model for financial services , while building scalable processes and ensuring robust compliance. The position involves close collaboration with CFO and finance leadership , as well as the Head of Stronghold India , and requires working across global time zones and functional boundaries. Key Responsibilities Global Fund & Corporate Accounting Lead accounting and reporting for Strongholds investment funds, management company , and other global entities. Manage core finance functions including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets , and related general ledger activities for the firm. Oversee preparation of accurate, timely financial statements, capital accounts, distribution schedules, and investor-level reporting packages. Manage the financial reporting and capital activity for fund investors in a General Partner / Limited Partner structure , including capital calls, distributions, investor statements, and waterfall allocations. Ensure compliance with US GAAP , maintain rigorous monthly/quarterly reconciliations, and oversee internal control systems. Develop and enforce global accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across jurisdictions. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for tax estimates, cash flow planning, and liquidity support. Establish and maintain a strong internal controls environment to mitigate operational and financial risks. Work with CFO and finance leadership on strategic financial reporting, decision-support analysis, and organizational planning. Partner with FP&A, tax, legal, and compliance teams to ensure end-to-end coordination of accounting with firm-wide activities. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations. India GCC Oversight & Local Operations Lead India statutory and tax accounting in collaboration with local advisors and external vendors. Oversee execution and documentation of transfer pricing policies between India and global entities. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of India-specific financial statements, payroll, GST, TDS, and other regulatory filings. Support local audits, compliance reviews, and engagement with legal/tax consultants and government agencies. Partner with the Head of Stronghold India to ensure local operations align with global expectations and timelines. Leadership & Collaboration Manage and mentor internal accounting team members in India, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Coordinate with global and local vendors, auditors, and service providers to execute end-to-end financial workflows. Champion consistent reporting standards, financial discipline, and professional development across the team. Build strong relationships across time zones and departments to support firm-wide initiatives. Mandatory Qualifications 12+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles, with significant leadership exposure. CA, CPA, or CFA qualification (at least one is required). Prior experience in a Global Capability Center (GCC) or in a Big Four accounting firm supporting financial services or investment organizations is mandatory . Deep experience with US GAAP , fund-level accounting, and global consolidation. Strong background in transfer pricing compliance and execution . Prior experience in private equity, asset management, or hedge fund environments. Strong communication skills written and verbal — with demonstrated ability to work across geographies and functions. History of maintaining internal controls, managing reporting rigor, and scaling finance operations. Must be based in Bangalore and able to work on-site 5 days/week . Willing to travel to the US 1–2 times annually . Preferred Experience Familiarity with Blackline and Sage Intacct . Experience managing investor reporting, fund-level audits, or capital account reconciliations. Exposure to intercompany eliminations, multi-entity structures, and regulatory coordination.
