About The Team Strategic Development (SD) India: The Strategic Development team in India plays a pivotal role in steering Swiss Re Bangalore towards becoming a Center of Excellence within the Swiss Re Group. Working closely with location leadership teams, various business leaders, and steering bodies, the team drives strategic initiatives and projects to deliver impactful results. By leveraging a diverse range of expertise in leadership and consulting, the team manages multiple portfolios of projects and initiatives to facilitate management decisions and achieve high-impact outcomes. About The Role: As a part of the Strategic Development team within the Group Data & Technology Office (GDTO), this role also supports GBS India in executing GBS-specific projects and Group-wide initiatives. Working alongside a team of strategy experts, analysts, and project managers, you will contribute to accelerating strategic projects, location development initiatives, and supporting business partners in achieving operational and strategic objectives. This role offers exposure to a wide array of topics and projects, requiring a high level of flexibility, strong collaboration skills, and an adaptable application of project management principles to address operational and strategic challenges effectively. Key Accountabilities: - Collaborate with an experienced team of strategy experts on initiatives at both GBS India and Group-wide levels. - Support the Strategic Development lead in steering, coordinating, and project managing various initiatives such as location development, leadership enablement, and more. - Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, engagements, and strategic themes for Swiss Re by conceptualizing, leading, or steering locational initiatives focused on growth, operational excellence, innovation, and stakeholder management. - Drive a structured approach to improvement within the local office, coaching leaders and experts at all levels to ensure the successful implementation of improvement targets and roadmaps. - Undertake any other ad hoc tasks as required. About You (Qualifications, Experience, And Key Skills): - Possess a minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 7 years in Consulting with Big 4s. - Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, People Leadership, Business Process Improvement, and international financial services. - Strong background in Project/Program management, Operational Excellence, Continual Improvement, and Change management. - Excellent stakeholder management skills and proficiency in spoken and written English. - Technical/Business Administration University degree or MBA. Essentials: - Ability to translate business strategies into actionable plans and navigate ambiguous situations effectively. - Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for initiative, business insight, and consulting capabilities. - Proficiency in working within a matrix organization, understanding diverse clients" needs, and defining targets across the organization. - Decision-making ability with a rational process and adaptability to changing business needs. - Structured, organized, and analytical with a problem-solving approach. - Results-oriented, proactive in leading change, and dedicated to achieving objectives. - Strong communication skills to influence, challenge, and coach across the organization. - Proactive in self-development and identifying growth opportunities.
