Job Description

As a global leader in providing innovative steam generation and energy-related products and services to the power generation and processing industries, Babcock Power is seeking a dedicated individual to join the team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing information on industry/market trends specific to the APAC Market. Your essential responsibilities will include: - Leading the strategic planning process within assigned business segment(s), collaborating with business segment management and Finance. - Developing, testing, and refining industry/market analysis, evaluating market size, competitor profiles, and general industry/market trend assessments. - Designing and conducting research projects to address specific business problems or questions related to business segment markets, products, and services. - Ensuring alignment of corporate and business segment strategies and objectives, proposing and assessing new organic growth initiatives, and advancing business segment strategic priorities. You will also lead and manage the implementation of organic strategic initiatives, track progress against key milestones and financial objectives, manage inter-departmental coordination, prioritize competing initiatives, and evaluate the strategic fit of initiatives with evolving business segment priorities. Additionally, you will provide support to the Strategic Operations M&A Team as needed, assisting with market analysis and integration planning. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a relevant engineering discipline, with an MBA being preferred. Experience in Business Development, Strategic Planning, Strategy Consulting, Equity Research, Market Research, or other analytically intensive domains is desired. Previous experience in the Power sector, Petrochemicals, Industrial Equipment, or Oil & Gas industries will be advantageous. Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required, along with a strong knowledge of financial modeling and business case development. This full-time/regular position may require frequent travel of up to 50%.
