Strategic Buyer

Role Overview: As a Strategic Buyer at Siemens Gamesa, you will implement Commodity strategies to ensure a long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials. You will be responsible for efficiently executing tactical purchasing processes within the given budget, securing the supply of material based on customer requirements at the lowest price while ensuring quality and on-time delivery (Total Cost of Ownership). Key Responsibilities: - Identify customer requirements and support the execution process - Liaise closely with end-users to determine their requirements and provide input into the sourcing process - Negotiate local or regional contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers - Develop and implement strategies for negotiations with suppliers - Ensure items are delivered on time and expedited when necessary - Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance, addressing performance issues with suppliers - Contribute to EcoSystem commodity strategy development - Provide support to the commodity strategy in developing a business listing of preferred suppliers - Analyze local and regional market trends and utilize them in commodity strategy - Define local/regional material field strategy for non-pooled commodities Qualifications Required: - 4 years of work experience in the procurement area - Strong commercial and technical knowledge of procurement, project management, and international contract law - Experience in advanced international negotiations and Strategic Sourcing - Bachelor or MBA or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field About The Team: Candidates joining Siemens Gamesa will have the opportunity to learn about the divisions they will be a part of, the structure, how they work together, and the role they play in driving Siemens Gamesa's mission forward.
