Stores Assistant – Thermal Power Plant

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and experienced Stores Assistant to support the efficient handling of stores and inventory activities at our Thermal Power Plant in Vijayawada. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in thermal power plant stores management with a solid understanding of inventory control, stock management, and MIS/reporting systems. Key Responsibilities: Assist in receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials, spare parts, and consumables. Maintain accurate stock records, update inventory logs, and ensure real-time system entries. Support the Store Keeper in material documentation, including preparation of GRNs, issue slips, and returns. Monitor stock levels and notify for replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking. Assist in physical stock verification and reconciliation with system reports. Maintain proper labeling, binning, and stacking of materials for easy identification and retrieval. Generate and maintain MIS reports, inventory summaries, and consumption reports. Ensure safe storage practices and compliance with company procedures and safety norms. Coordinate with internal departments for timely material issue and returns. Desired Profile: Graduate / Diploma in any stream (preferably with background in stores or logistics). Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in stores and inventory management in a thermal power plant. Hands-on experience in thermal power plant store operations. Knowledge of inventory management principles, material codification, and documentation. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and proficiency in MS Excel for MIS and reporting. Good organizational, communication, and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision as well as independently.Note: Ideal candidate should have good experience in Thermal Power Plant (Speaking in Telugu is must)
