Storekeeper

Job Summary:

The Storekeeper in a bakery environment is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished bakery goods. The role ensures accurate inventory management, proper handling of perishable ingredients, and supports production needs by maintaining optimal stock levels of all bakery-related items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect deliveries of raw materials (e.g., flour, sugar, yeast, butter), packaging supplies, and finished products.
• Store ingredients in accordance with food safety standards and temperature requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in dry storage, cold storage, and packaging areas.
• Record and track inventory movements using inventory management systems or manual logs.
• Monitor stock levels and expiration dates to minimize waste and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
• Issue raw materials to production based on daily baking schedules and requisitions.
• Coordinate with the purchasing team for timely reordering of ingredients and packaging supplies.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly stocktakes and prepare inventory reports.
• Handle returns of defective or expired goods in line with company policy.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Graduation is required
• 3-5 years of experience as a storekeeper, preferably in food or bakery industries.
• Knowledge of food storage guidelines and hygiene standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
• Experience using inventory management software or systems.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials when needed.
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, Inventory software).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
