Storekeeper (Steel & Power Industry)

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Storekeeper with a strong background in the Steel & Power industry. The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of materials, spare parts, and consumables. The role requires excellent organizational skills, accuracy in stock maintenance, and compliance with company inventory procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store raw materials, spare parts, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory management systems.
• Issue materials as per approved requests and maintain proper documentation.
• Conduct regular stock verification and physical audits.
• Ensure proper storage, safety, and security of materials.
• Coordinate with purchase and project teams for timely availability of materials.
• Track consumption, shortages, and reorder levels to avoid delays in operations.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and industry safety standards.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports for management.
• Supervise helpers and ensure discipline in store operations.

Requirements

• Experience in the Steel & Power industry is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control practices.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage large volumes of materials.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate / Diploma in Store & Inventory Management or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Storekeeper in Steel / Power industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
