Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Store Supervisor with a Mechanical Engineering background

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inward Material Management

• Receive incoming materials, spares, and consumables as per purchase orders.
• Verify quantity, specification, and quality of received materials in coordination with the QC team.
• Ensure accurate Goods Receipt Note (GRN) entries in ERP or manual register.
• Proper tagging, labelling, and storage of materials in designated locations.

2. Material Issuance to Production

• Issue raw materials, mechanical spares, tools, and consumables to the production and maintenance teams based on Material Requisition Slips (MRS) or job cards.
• Maintain proper documentation for all issued items, ensuring traceability and control.
• Monitor and maintain minimum stock levels and initiate replenishment requests as needed.
• Coordinate with the production team to understand consumption patterns and plan stock accordingly.

3. Outward Material Management

• Handle dispatches of finished goods, rejected materials, and returnable items.
• Maintain accurate records for outward gate passes, challans, and transporter details.
• Ensure proper packaging, documentation, and timely dispatch.

4. Inventory Control & Documentation

• Maintain up-to-date stock registers (physical and system-based) with accuracy.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verification.
• Reconcile discrepancies and prepare stock adjustment reports.
• Assist in internal and external audits with complete documentation.

5. Store Management & Compliance

• Implement 5S and safe storage practices within the store area.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper material stacking.
• Monitor shelf life/expiry of perishable items.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory norms.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 25 years of relevant experience in store supervision in a manufacturing/engineering industry

Skills & Competencies:

• Good understanding of mechanical parts, tools, and machine components
• Hands-on experience with ERP/inventory software (SAP, Tally, Zoho, etc.)
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Familiarity with inward/outward logistics and inventory cycle processes
• Good coordination and communication skills with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of safety standards and store audit practices
