Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Store Manager / Supervisor to lead and manage daily store operations, drive sales, and develop a high-performing retail team. The ideal candidate will have proven retail experience in apparel, strong leadership and customer service skills, and a demonstrated ability to grow store revenue while maintaining operational excellence.Core Responsibilities (at a glance)

  • Recruit, train, coach, and motivate staff to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Actively engage with customers to improve conversions and upselling.
  • Plan and execute in-store promotions and sales strategies.
  • Monitor daily sales reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
Store Operations
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.
  • Maintain visual merchandising according to brand standards.
  • Ensure proper stock availability, timely replenishment, and inventory control.
  • Handle cash management, billing, and prepare daily store reports.
Team Management
  • Supervise, train, and motivate sales staff.
  • Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance.
  • Set individual sales targets and track staff performance.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service from the team.
Customer Experience
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure satisfaction.
  • Build long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business.
  • Maintain a positive and professional store environment.
Compensation, Working Hours & Shift Expectations

Compensation

  • Base salary range: INR 25,000 INR 50,000 per month (approximately INR 3.0 6.0 lakhs per annum), depending on experience, location, store size, and role seniority.
  • On-target earnings (OTE): With performance-based incentives and bonuses tied to store sales and KPIs, total monthly compensation may increase above the base range (OTE will be discussed during the interview process and varies by store performance).
  • Variable pay structure: Monthly and/or quarterly incentives linked to store sales targets, conversion rates, and KPI achievement. Specific incentive structure (e.g., commission percentage, bonus thresholds) will be shared during offer discussions.
  • Additional statutory benefits where applicable (Provident Fund/ESI, medical benefits, paid leave) detailed benefit breakdown will be provided in the offer letter.
  • Final compensation is determined by a combination of factors including candidate experience, demonstrated performance, geographic location (mall vs. high-street), and scope of responsibilities.
Working Hours & Shift Expectations
  • On-site position: presence required at the assigned store location.
  • Standard store operating hours typically fall within 10:00 AM 10:00 PM (may vary by location/mall). Manager/Supervisor shifts are rostered to cover opening, peak, and closing periods.
  • Typical shift length: 89 hours including a paid/unpaid break as per local regulations; occasional extended hours may be required during peak periods or events.
  • Roster: Generally 6 working days with one weekly off, with rotating weekend and public holiday coverage as required. Time-off or overtime compensation/comp-off will be provided in accordance with company policy and local labor laws.
  • Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to work flexible shifts (early openings, late closings), weekends, and public holidays as part of standard retail operations.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 26 years of experience in apparel retail (mandatory).
  • Proven experience as a Store Manager, Store Supervisor, or Senior Sales Executive.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving store revenue.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
  • Experience leading, training, and motivating retail teams.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, stock replenishment, and retail KPIs.
  • Proficiency in cash management, POS systems, billing, and daily store reporting.
  • Good communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Experience in branded or premium apparel retail stores.
  • Target-driven and result-oriented with a focus on upselling and promotions.
  • Willingness to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays; availability for occasional extended hours during peak periods.
  • Retail management certification or formal training in sales/customer service is a plus.
  • Experience with visual merchandising and familiarity with inventory/POS software platforms.
  • Additional language skills are advantageous.
