Store Keeper (Technical Engineering Stores)

Qualification:

• Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering

  or equivalent technical qualification
• Certification in inventory or materials management (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum

  5–8 years

  of experience in

  engineering stores

  within a fabrication or machinery manufacturing unit
• Prior experience in handling

  custom-built components, raw materials, consumables, and tooling

• Exposure to

  ERP systems (SAP B1 preferred)

  for inventory and material movement tracking

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

Inventory & Material Management

• Maintain accurate records of

  incoming and outgoing materials

  (raw materials, bought-out items, tools, and fasteners)
• Ensure timely

  issue of materials

  to fabrication, machine shop, and assembly departments
• Monitor

  reorder levels

  ,

  safety stock

  , and initiate timely indents

ERP & Documentation

• Handle

  material receipt entries, issue slips, stock transfer, and physical stock reconciliation

  in

  SAP B1 or equivalent ERP

• Generate GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), maintain MRR (Material Receipt Register), and

  bin cards

• Update material movement daily and support MIS reporting

Coordination

• Liaise with the

  purchase department

  for material follow-up and vendors for delivery schedules
• Coordinate with QC for material inspection clearance
• Support the accounts team in supplier bill verification and documentation

Compliance & Organization

• Ensure

  5S implementation

  and maintain a clean and traceable store
• Follow

  FIFO, batch number, and heat number tracking

  for critical components
• Adhere to

  safety norms

  , and maintain calibration, shelf-life records, and storage conditions

Additional Competencies:

• Good understanding of

  engineering drawings

  (for basic part identification)
• Basic knowledge of

  materials (MS, SS, EN series, etc.), fasteners, and consumables

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Working knowledge of

  Excel, Word

  , and

  barcoding/labeling systems
