Job Title: Storekeeper - Construction Industry

Location: Pune

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Storekeeper will oversee and manage all inventory and store-related activities at the construction site. The ideal candidate will ensure that materials, tools, and equipment are stored correctly and securely, maintaining accurate records and facilitating the timely procurement and distribution of items as needed. This role is vital in supporting the smooth operation of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Receive, inspect, and store materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Storage and Organization:
  • Organize and label items for easy identification and access.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols for hazardous materials.
  • Procurement and Replenishment:
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for materials and supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of items.
  • Verify and inspect received goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Distribution and Issuance:
  • Issue materials and equipment to construction teams as required.
  • Keep records of issued and returned items, ensuring accountability.
  • Coordinate with site managers to prioritize and fulfill material requests.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all transactions.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, usage, and shortages.
  • Assist in preparing budget estimates for materials and supplies.
  • Maintenance and Security:
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store area.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to prevent theft or loss.
  • Arrange for the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, inventory management, or related fields are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations related to construction materials.|

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
