Store Keeper

As a Store Keeper at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, you will be responsible for various tasks related to commercial mathematics, import and foreign exchange, banking & insurance, purchase & material management, goods and services tax, safety and laws, and computer proficiency. Your key responsibilities will include: - Handling tasks related to commercial mathematics such as sums on percentage, profit & loss, discount, interest, ratio and proportion, time, work, speed, distance, and excise duty. - Managing import procedures, import pricing, letter of credit, import documentation, and understanding basic concepts of exchange rates and symbols of various currencies. - Dealing with banking systems, types of banks, banking rates, principles of insurance, types of insurance policies, insurance and assurance, reinsurance, and transportation goods and insurance. - Managing purchase processes, legal aspects of purchasing, knowledge of E-Tendering and e-Auction, inventory classification, inventory control techniques, store functions, and condemnation and disposal of surplus and scrap. - Having a general knowledge of GST, E-way bills, E-invoicing, and tax deduction at source (TDS). - Ensuring safety in the workplace by following occupational health and first aid practices, maintaining general safety awareness, handling hazardous materials safely, and complying with safety codes, environmental safety norms, and safety laws. - Demonstrating basic computer knowledge, especially in MS Office, and utilizing computers effectively in store management. You should possess qualifications such as a strong grasp of commercial mathematics, import and foreign exchange procedures, banking and insurance principles, purchase and material management techniques, knowledge of goods and services tax, safety regulations, and computer proficiency in MS Office.
