Job Description – Warehouse Assistant

Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Department: Warehouse & Logistics

Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for handling inventory, organizing stock, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
• Pack, label, and prepare orders for dispatch according to company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, shipments, and deliveries.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (if trained and certified).
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods for transport.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures while handling goods and equipment.
• Support inventory audits and stock replenishment processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum educational qualification: [Specify, e.g., 10th Pass / 12th Pass]
• Prior experience in warehouse operations or inventory management is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse safety and handling procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer knowledge for updating stock records (preferred).
• Forklift or equipment handling certification (if required by the company).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
