Store Assistant

Role & responsibilities

1. Store Support & Assistance

• Assist

  optometrists and sales staff

  during daily store operations
• Help in preparing the store for the opening and closing procedures
  
• Support staff during customer rush hours
  

2. Product Handling & Display

• Clean and maintain

  eyeglass frames, sunglasses, lenses, and accessories

• Arrange products neatly in display racks and showcases
  
• Ensure products are handled carefully to avoid damage
  
• Assist in restocking shelves and organizing inventory
  

3. Store Cleanliness & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of the

  store floor, furniture, mirrors, counters, and equipment

• Ensure trial frames and testing areas are clean and hygienic
  
• Report any damaged furniture or fixtures to the store manager
  

4. Customer Support

• Greet customers politely and guide them to the appropriate staff
  
• Help customers with basic needs like seating, water, or frame selection (under supervision)
  

5. Stock & Inventory Support

• Assist in receiving and unpacking new stock
  
• Help in labeling, counting, and arranging inventory
  
• Inform staff about low stock or missing items
  

6. Miscellaneous Duties

• Run small errands within the store when required
  
• Follow store policies, safety, and hygiene standards
  
• Perform any other support tasks assigned by the store manager

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum

  12th pass

• Basic communication skills
  
• Willingness to learn and help customers and staff

• Helpful and cooperative attitude
  
• Neat appearance and hygiene
  
• Basic understanding of cleanliness and organization
  
• Ability to follow instructions
  
• Physically fit to stand and move for long hours
