Job Description

Were Hiring: Storage L2 Tech Engineer

Storage L2 Technical Engineer

Must Have Skills

Strong fundamentals in
Storage & SAN
Expertise in
Fiber Channel
and
iSCSI
Experience with
HP Storage (Online & Nearline)
Knowledge of at least
one operating system

Experience Required (4–5 Years)

Hands-on support for HP Enterprise Backup/Nearline products
(MSL, ESL, ESL-E, VLS, D2D Gen2, B6200, etc.)
Troubleshooting complex issues involving
Switch, SAN, or Library components
1–2 years of
Field Support
preferred
Experience in
RAID, SAN, NAS
Supporting at least
2 OS in a clustered SAN environment
Proficient with
HP L&TT Tools
, Firmware upgrades, CV-TL, CV-VLS
Experience with tape drive technologies:
DLT, SDLT, LTO1–LTO5
Knowledge of EVA, MSA, NAS, XP Storage, Blade, Virtual Connect, ProLiant Servers
Understanding of
networking concepts
and
iSCSI protocol

Responsibilities

Provide
remote hardware & software support
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents via phone/email
Work closely with Onsite Engineers, Escalation Teams & Account Managers
Perform root-cause analysis and ensure timely resolution within SLAs
Maintain high-quality documentation and communication
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (L2, L3, Labs, Call Management, etc.)
Conduct Post Incident Reviews when required

Education & Certification

B.E/B.Tech or Master’s in a Technical discipline
Mandatory:
A+ and Server+
Preferred:
MCSE, CCNA
or similar certifications
