Storage Engineer

As a Storage Engineer at Coforge in Greater Noida, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Enterprise level Storage and Backup solutions. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. If you have additional years of related experience, training, and certifications, they will be accepted in lieu of a degree. You will need to demonstrate your expertise in working with virtualization platforms and IT systems in a large-scale environment. This includes installation, maintenance, and ongoing support of the virtualization platform, as well as supporting IT systems that form the foundation of complex solutions. Additionally, you should have experience in supporting and troubleshooting the virtualization layer and virtual networking of Linux and Windows-based applications in a virtualization environment. Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining systems used for IT automation is crucial for this role. You should also be familiar with Enterprise storage systems such as Dell PowerStore SAN, PowerScale NAS, Qumulo NAS, or similar platforms. Understanding Enterprise data protection and disaster recovery solutions, as well as Enterprise application data management requirements, is essential. Hands-on experience in Software Defined Storage, Hyper Converged technologies and Solutions (VMware vSAN, Nutanix, StorMagic, etc.) is required. Any experience with public cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP will be considered a significant advantage. You should also possess intermediate Operating System skills in Linux and Windows, along with VMware Certifications or Experience. In terms of knowledge and experience, familiarity with ITIL practices for IT Service Management, particularly with ServiceNow, is preferred. Some experience in a project management environment will be beneficial. You should have knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices, and methodologies, as well as operational expertise in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts. Proven data analysis, data verification, problem-solving abilities, and experience with statistical reporting and analysis for metric reporting are necessary. Exposure to SQL and database concepts and installations is also desired. Excellent PC skills, technical fluency in IT operations, and good project management skills or substantial exposure to project-based work structures will be advantageous for this role.,
