Key Responsibilities

• Backup Management

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide backup and recovery strategies aligned with business continuity requirements.
• Manage backup tools and platforms.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure compliance with retention policies.

• Disaster Recovery (DR)

• Develop and maintain DR plans for critical applications and infrastructure.
• Implement DR solutions using technologies latest cutting edge technologies
• Conduct regular DR drills and document outcomes for audit and compliance.

• Storage Administration

• Manage Enterprise SAN/NAS environments and ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Perform capacity planning, provisioning, and lifecycle management of storage resources.
• Implement storage replication and snapshot strategies for high availability.

• Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to data protection standards (ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Maintain SOPs for backup and DR processes.
• Collaborate with security and audit teams for periodic reviews.
• Lead recovery operations during data loss, corruption, or ransomware events

Required Skills & Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Sc./IT/Electronics with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in IT backup, DR, and storage administration.
• Strong knowledge of backup architectures (full, incremental, differential, synthetic).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, etc.).
• Familiar with VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux OS, and cloud backups (AWS/Azure).
• Strong troubleshooting skills in backup/restore, and storage connectivity.

• Mandatory experience working in the manufacturing industry

  , with understanding of production-critical systems and data recovery needs.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise backup tools and DR frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-based backup and hybrid DR strategies.
• Familiarity with RPO/RTO metrics and BCP planning.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Certifications such as VCP, MCSE, Cloud (Azure/AWS) or equivalent are a plus.
