Storage Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, administer, and support

  Hitachi Block, File, and Object Storage systems

  .
• Provide

  expert-level support for Hitachi NAS (HNAS)

  including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Perform

  storage provisioning, migration, replication, and decommissioning

  activities.
• Monitor and maintain storage system health, availability, and performance.
• Work with vendors for

  firmware upgrades, patching, and escalations

  .
• Support

  business continuity & disaster recovery (BC/DR) solutions

  using Hitachi storage technologies.
• Participate in

  incident, problem, and change management processes

  as per ITIL standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Backup, Network, Server, DB) for end-to-end solution delivery.
• Contribute to

  capacity planning, performance tuning, and storage optimization strategies

  .
• Maintain and update

  technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks

  .

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in

  Hitachi VSP / G Series / F Series storage arrays

  .
• Deep knowledge of

  HNAS architecture, protocols (NFS, CIFS/SMB), clustering, replication, and snapshots

  .
• Experience with

  Hitachi Command Suite (HCS), Ops Center, Device Manager, and Storage Navigator

  .
• Proficiency in

  SAN technologies

  (Brocade / Cisco FC Switches, zoning, multipathing).
• Working knowledge of

  data protection & replication solutions

  (HUR, TrueCopy, ShadowImage, GAD).
• Familiarity with

  Unix/Linux & Windows integration with Hitachi storage

  .
• Scripting knowledge (Shell / PowerShell / Python) for automation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hitachi Certified Specialist (HCSA / HDS certifications).
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Experience in multi-vendor storage environments.
• Knowledge of backup solutions integration with Hitachi storage.
