Job Description

As a Stock Associate at our Denver, CO location, you will play a crucial role in managing merchandise flow, maintaining organized product displays, and assisting with store presentation. Your responsibilities will include: - Receiving, inspecting, and transferring merchandise accurately - Assisting with inventory management by stocking and replenishing merchandise from backstock - Communicating with store leadership to address inventory levels and restocking needs - Ensuring merchandise has full size and color representation - Keeping the stockroom and sales floor organized, maintaining neat shelves, racks, and displays - Maintaining knowledge of store inventory to assist customers and team members - Using basic Point-of-Sale (POS) system knowledge to track inventory and transfers - Assisting in store upkeep by maintaining displays and merchandising - Identifying and resolving issues such as inventory discrepancies, markdowns, or pricing errors - Following all safety and loss prevention procedures - Performing other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: - Previous stockroom, retail, or warehouse experience preferred (1+ year is a plus) - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory or POS systems - Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 60 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation - TAM Card (Alcohol Beverage Awareness Certification) may be required, depending on location - Security clearance may be required, depending on job duties - Employment may be contingent upon passing background checks and/or drug screening, where permitted by law Additional Requirements: - Occasional sitting - Frequent standing, walking, climbing, crouching, bending, pushing, or pulling - Normal or corrected vision and hearing - Ability to distinguish varying colors, patterns, or materials to review merchandise - Fluency in English is required for training, customer interactions, and compliance with company policies - Work environment may vary from indoors to outdoors with varying temperatures - Use of fine motor hand functions - Ability to lift approximately 50+ lbs About Us: WHSmith is a leading global travel retailer with over 1,700 stores across 30 countries worldwide.
