Steward

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Restaurant Steward to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dishwashing areas. The steward plays a key support role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for kitchen and service staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual and machine methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, storerooms, and dishwashing areas.
• Dispose of garbage and kitchen waste properly and regularly.
• Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stocked and used safely.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks when required (e.g., moving ingredients, organizing storage).
• Handle all kitchen equipment carefully to avoid damage or injury.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Maintain proper segregation and disposal of wet and dry waste.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; basic literacy preferred.
• Previous experience in kitchen stewarding or cleaning is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Physical stamina to work long hours, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy items.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work in a team and take direction from supervisors.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to hot, wet, and humid environments.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
