Steel Fixers

You are a skilled steel fixer being sought to join our construction team. Your primary responsibility will involve interpreting construction drawings, preparing steel reinforcement bars, and ensuring the structural integrity of concrete elements. Your duties will include studying construction drawings and blueprints to understand the specific requirements for reinforcing concrete, determining the type, size, and arrangement of steel bars or mesh needed for each project, preparing, cutting, and bending steel reinforcement bars according to specifications, positioning steel bars within concrete molds to ensure structural strength, securing steel bars with binding wire or welding to maintain precise positioning during concrete pouring, assembling reinforcement cages for placement within concrete elements, ensuring all steel work complies with design specifications and quality standards, and following strict safety procedures to prevent accidents. The ideal candidate for this role should have experience in steel fixing or a related field, the ability to interpret construction drawings and blueprints, knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of heavy materials, strong teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
