State Manager Recon

You will be responsible for managing multiple sales functions in the assigned geographic region as a State Manager Recon in Kolkata, India. Your main responsibilities will include achieving sales targets, managing field staff, distribution channels, key accounts, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). Your duties will involve managing clinical seminars, promotional campaigns, sales records, and analyzing sales trends. You will need to train, motivate, and develop team members, manage distribution channels, and monitor inventory levels. Additionally, you will be responsible for liaising with institutional stockists, hospital stores, and purchase personnel to strengthen product availability and usage. You will also organize and participate in promotional activities during medical seminars and conferences, interact with the Head Office Marketing team for technical and marketing information, and ensure ethical promotion of products to medical practitioners and hospitals. Developing key accounts and Key Opinion Leaders for focus products will be a key aspect of your role. To be successful in this position, you should have a Graduate/MBA degree, preferably with a background in life sciences or pharmacy, along with 8-10 years of sales experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry. Proficient knowledge and experience in the Orthopedics industry are essential, along with good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. You should be self-driven, result-oriented, and possess man-management and crisis management skills. Travel will be required for this position, estimated at 50-75% of the time.
