State and Local Tax Senior Manager

As a State and Local Tax (SALT) Senior Manager at Weaver, you will play a crucial role in working on multiple complex tax engagements and leading the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for diverse clients. You will be expected to stay updated on tax law changes in various states and effectively communicate key issues and changes to the firm and its clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing the tax technical and client-facing skills of Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage multiple complex tax engagements - Lead the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas - Stay knowledgeable of tax law changes in various states - Provide written communications on key issues and changes - Develop the tax technical and client-facing skills of team members - Mentor and develop staff and managers - Implement process transitions - Comprehend and communicate effectively with clients - Increase efficiency and revenue for the cost center **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - CPA, CA, CMI, EA or JD certification - 12+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm with a focus on sales and use/indirect tax compliance and consulting - Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff and managers - Experience in implementing process transitions and increasing efficiency and revenue for the cost center **Preferred Qualifications:** - Master's degree in Accounting or related field - Strong relationship management and practice development skills - Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients At Weaver, we value diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
