Stantec is looking for Sr. Electrical Designer who can contribute to the ongoing growth of Stantec Resource Net India Private Ltd by providing technical expertise in Electrical discipline, as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering conceptual design, outline design, detailed design and construction support for Bio-Industrial experience related to Biofuels and Agricultural/food processing sector across Stantec offices.

The Sr. Electrical Designer role conducts and supports the delivery of complete Electrical detail design drawings associated with energy (power generation / distribution etc.) and industrial (biofuel, food processing and other industrial) plants.

Person Specifications:

• Diploma or bachelors in electrical engineering.
• Electrical Computer Aided Design experience on Bio-Industrial/Water Industry projects.
• 2D and 3D Modelling and design experience using Electrical Software applications.
• Autodesk Revit
• Autodesk AutoCAD
• Bentley MicroStation
• Cad works will be an additional advantage.
• Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering in a BIM environment.
• Knowledge and project experience of working and delivering using Common Data Environments like Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM 360.
• Knowledge and project experience of Autodesk Navisworks.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
• Should be good team player.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Fully competent in all conventional areas of subject matter or functional area.
• Devises new solutions to problems encountered.
• Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems.
• Good understanding of process industries projects.
• Good understanding of process and Instrumentation drawings.
• Good knowledge of other engineering discipline needs and interfaces.
• Advanced CAD software skills in support of design.
• Full understanding and support in the development of CAD/BIM standards and procedures.
• Advanced presentation skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Eagar to upscale and upgrade the team with various software and technology.

Key Accountabilities:

• Review the input received from client and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent.
• Preparation of Single Line Diagrams from Load list,
• Preparation of different Motor starter Control schematics, Cable schedules, Panel schedules etc.
• Preparation of Plant / Site layouts, identify and locate all instruments on site layouts from P&ID. Preparation of hazards area classification layouts.
• Power Plan Layout, Cable tray and trenches layouts, Lighting and Earthing layouts and General arrangement drawings, etc.
• Preparation of Cable block diagram, and conduit development drawings.
• To be able to understand end-client design and drafting systems and standards implement in work.
• Good understanding of the Vendor submittal drawings.
• Providing technical guidance and assistance to the team in the use of CAD software.
• Maintaining a database of all CAD drawings, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible for future reference
• Reviewing blueprints, plans, and specifications, and making necessary modifications based on client requirements/scope of work
• Providing training to team members on CAD software and monitoring their skills matrix.
• Coordination with other disciplines designers and engineers as applicable.
• Able to provide input into projects with minimal supervision. Can prioritize work products based on project schedule.
• Able to help to setup the project standards and templates.
• Develop and trained the new resources for various CAD BIM Software’s
• Coordinate with Project BIM/CAD Lead and help to set the concerning project requirements.
• Candidate should be able to visualize and produce clash free 3D model using Navisworks/Revit (and similar tools from Bentley suite of software)
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
