About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Staff System Test with proven leadership capabilities, deep technical acumen, and strong communication and collaboration skills to drive system-level testing initiatives in a fast-paced and innovative environment. In this role, you will part of the Systems Integration and Validation team across Enphase Energy’s diverse product portfolio, spanning multiple business units and global markets.

In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end system test architecture, including the test plan design, automation and execution of comprehensive test strategies, development of test plans, and setup of complex test environments. These environments will integrate components such as AI based home energy management systems, Gateways, EV Chargers, Batteries, Microinverters, Controller Switches, Load Controls, Water heaters, Cloud and Mobile applications tailored for various international markets.

You will spearhead data-driven analysis of global Beta Programs, proactively identify system-level issues, and translate findings into actionable use cases for lab validation. Your role will also involve close collaboration with offshore teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and product owners to ensure alignment on quality goals and delivery timelines.

As a Technical Expert, you will guide technical decisions and lead discussions with stakeholders, ensure that system testing aligns with business objectives and customer expectations and be the Champion who inspire Quality excellence. You will be responsible for publishing detailed test reports, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to the evolution of Enphase’s testing frameworks and methodologies.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading system test planning, execution, and reporting
• Designing scalable test bed schematics and automation strategies
• Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for complex system issues
• Coordinating with global teams to ensure test coverage and consistency
• Representing QA in cross-functional technical discussions and product reviews

What You Will Do as a Staff system Test Engineer:

• Independently design, develop, and execute comprehensive system integration and end-to-end test plans, ensuring robust validation across diverse product configurations and global markets.
• Lead technical reviews and engineering discussions, providing expert feedback on product and design specifications from a system test perspective, and translating requirements into detailed, actionable test scenarios.
• Candidate should have a good knowledge and hand on implementation of Automation
• Serve as the Technical Expert for complex projects involving multiple Enphase systems, configurations, and technologies—owning technical decisions and guiding cross-functional alignment.
• Architect and implement system integration test strategies, including drawing test bench schematics, setting up multi-component systems in the lab, and ensuring seamless operation for validation activities.
• Proactively identify and resolve integration issues, applying deep technical analysis to maintain project momentum and ensure timely delivery.
• Execute system-level tests independently, document and track defects, and provide detailed root cause analysis to drive resolution and improve product quality.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including development, product management, and project management—to triage defects, ensure timely fixes, and uphold release readiness.
• Mentor and guide system test engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation through knowledge sharing and leadership.

Who You Are and What You Bring

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, with 7+ years of experience in System validation, specializing in the integration of complex subsystems across diverse technologies.
• A strategic decision-maker with the ability to assess technical risks, prioritize tasks, and make informed choices that balance quality, timelines, and business impact.
• A technical leader with a proven track record of independently driving system-level testing initiatives, setting up and validating multi-component environments, and ensuring seamless subsystem interaction.
• Skilled in managing multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining a clear focus on quality, delivery, and stakeholder alignment.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator, with experience leading cross-functional engagements across engineering, product management, and field teams to align on test goals and resolve issues efficiently.
• Hands-on expertise in developing electrical schematics and working with lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and grid simulators to support system integration testing.
• Experience working with field teams to gather real-world data, translating insights into lab-based use cases and validation scenarios.
• Deep domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Electrical Systems, Embedded Systems, Automotive, AI, Automation, IoT, Solar, EVSE, Battery Storage Systems, and Home Automation.
• Proficiency in Linux OS, Git, and Jenkins, with good to have working knowledge of Python for automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as TestRail, JIRA, and Jama, enabling structured and traceable validation workflows.
