Understand the Payments industry and where Visa Direct fits in the payment ecosystem.
Understand the business initiatives and their importance to the growth of Visa Direct.
Develop a good understanding of the Visa Direct technology platform.
Collaborate with product owners and technical staff globally to define requirements for new features and enhancements to the platform.
Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team as well as across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Provide QA input into delivery of features and stories estimation and sizing.
Question and think outside of acceptance criteria to identify exception scenarios, error states, etc. Take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the testing and automation efforts. Take ownership and lead the test engineering responsibility for multiple components of the platform.
Collaborate with QA Engineers from various locations and ensure smooth delivery of releases. Ability to identify and manage risks at all stages of the project.
Adherence to practices such as test coverage, open defect counts, continuous integration, code reviews, code quality and shift left practices.
Stay up to date with new testing approaches, tools, technologies, and test strategies.
Drive improvements in processes and frameworks across the team.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience. Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum of 6 years of Software Development Experience or a Masters with minimum of 5 years of Software Development Experience. Proven track record of having led and delivered complex projects. Experience of managing a test engineering team of 3-4 people. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Experience in Rest API testing, performance testing basics and security and authentication. Proficiency in Java 8 with Core Java, Collection Framework, JDBC, Functional Programming. Experience with automation testing tools such as RestAssured, TestNG, JSON and XML Parsers, Jenkins, Cucumber, Karate and Github. Proficiency in usage of SQL queries and creating stored procedures. Passion to work with people and help mentor your team. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks or projects. Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner and security testing is a plus. Knowledge on containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Working knowledge of Kafka and cloud-based application architecture and principles is a plus.
