Staff Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Staff Engineer for CASB Inline at Netskope, you will be a key member of a high performing engineering team, contributing to the development of cloud-based CASB Inline products. Your role will involve the full life-cycle software development process, including requirements analysis, technical architecture, design, implementation, testing, and documentation. You will play a crucial role in deploying solutions to production and ensuring post-production ownership. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with other service development teams, product management, and support teams to ensure the scalability, supportability, and availability of the services you are responsible for. - Address customer issues promptly to enhance issue resolution response time and customer satisfaction. - Evaluate open source technologies and contribute to them to meet unique needs. - Build and support high-performance microservices with a proven track record of 8+ years of relevant work experience. - Develop expertise in building and scaling microservices architectures, backend languages like Go, Python, Java, or Node.js, and API design and system integration. - Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Understand modern UI frameworks, responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, monitoring, logging, alerting systems, and concepts like AI/ML pipelines. - Advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and possess expertise in a wide range of unit testing frameworks. - Demonstrate strong communication skills, customer focus, and the ability to engage openly and transparently with teams and stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - BSCS or equivalent is required, with an MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred. - Technical expertise in building and scaling microservices architectures. - Proficiency in backend languages like Go, Python, Java, or Node.js. - Experience with API design, system integration, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Understanding of modern UI frameworks, responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization. - Expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, and familiarity with concepts like AI/ML pipelines. - Advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and possess expertise in unit testing frameworks.,
