Summary -
The Staff Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing and deploying AWS Infrastructure based on the customer's requirements to deliver analytical solutions. This role will work closely with the engineering Directors, Clients, and Managed Services teams.

Position Summary -
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance AWS cloud environments to support diverse workloads.
- Develop automation-first solutions for cloud data services provisioning, integrating IAM, networking, security policies as code, and observability from the ground up.
- Collaborate with developers and internal stakeholders to deliver automated, cloud-native, and AI-ready solutions.
- Implement fully automated, resilient, and observable infrastructure with FinOps best practices to enable cloud IaaS and PaaS services.
- Architect BYOC and BYOK solutions ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
- Develop cloud-native and hybrid architectures for
Big Data applications, Snowflake, Hadoop, Kafka, and Solr
. - Ensure the integration of
security analytics
to monitor and protect cloud infrastructure. - Implement
IaC
using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK for provisioning cloud resources. - Automate cloud infrastructure deployment and configuration to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Design and deploy containerized workloads using
Amazon EKS
and best practices for microservices architecture. - Optimize Kubernetes workloads, including security policies, networking, and auto-scaling.
- Implement Kubernetes observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Architect and enforce
security best practices
for data protection, IAM policies, encryption (BYOK), and network security. - Implement
zero-trust security
and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR). - Leverage AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, IAM, AWS KMS) to enhance security postures.
- Design security monitoring and
analytics solutions
for threat detection and incident response. - Design and optimize AWS infrastructure for
Hadoop, Snowflake, and Big Data workloads
. - Architect scalable
Kafka and Solr
clusters for real-time data processing and search indexing. - Implement
data lake and warehouse strategies
integrating Snowflake, - Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency using AWS Cost Explorer, Savings Plans, and auto-scaling.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies with CloudWatch, Datadog, and ELK stack, loki and fluentbit
- Conduct capacity planning and infrastructure rightsizing for performance tuning.
- Work closely with security, data, DevOps, and development teams to align cloud strategy with business needs.
- Provide architectural guidance, documentation, and mentorship to teams.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging AWS technologies to enhance cloud capabilities.
- Lead initiatives to enhance infrastructure reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation for automation workflows, system changes, and platform configurations.
Qualifications -
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in Aws services, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Data Framework principles
- Experience with various CI/CD methodologies, container orchestration tools, and observability and performance monitoring technologies.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Expertise in designing secure, scalable architectures for
BYOC, BYOK, Snowflake, Big Data, and Kubernetes
. - Strong knowledge of
AWS networking, IAM, security frameworks, encryption (BYOK), and compliance standards
. - Deep understanding of
Kafka, Solr, Hadoop, and security analytics platforms
. - Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, ANSIBLE.
- Experience in
cloud cost management and FinOps
. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform as mandatory.
- Expertise in end-to-end applications hosted on Kubernetes, emphasizing scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
- Experience in Cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools
- Cloud provisioning and configuration technologies (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Packer, AWS CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of AWS billing and ability to provide cost-optimal architectural designs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and explain the design/deployment strategy to both technical & non-technical audiences
- Good working knowledge of processes and procedures (like ITIL)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in a global team.
- Minimum of a 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Preferred:
- AWS Certified
Solutions Architect Professional
or AWS Security Specialty
- Experience with AI-driven security analytics and AWS-native threat detection tools.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, EMR, and AI/ML workloads on AWS.
