Role Overview

Staff Platform Engineer

AI-driven capabilities in IAM

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the 

  architecture and design

   of IAM platforms using the 

  Ping Identity suite

   deployed on 

  AWS

  .
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available IAM solutions aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize 

  CI/CD pipelines

   using 

  GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and Octopus Deploy

  .
• Build and support 

  infrastructure automation

   using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and integrate with enterprise 

  Vault

   solutions.
• Integrate applications across cloud platformsprimarily 

  AWS

  ensuring secure identity flows and access controls.
• Collaborate closely with 

  Product, Security, Architecture, and Engineering teams

   to deliver end-to-end IAM capabilities.
• Drive adoption of 

  best practices

   in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Agile delivery models.
• Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of 

  technical excellence and continuous improvement

  .
• Champion and drive the 

  adoption of AI use cases within the IAM ecosystem

  .
• Prepare, maintain, and review technical documentation, including:
• System and solution designs
• Deployment and configuration guides
• Test scripts and user manuals
• Ensure seamless integration with solutions delivered by other internal platforms and teams.
• Act as a key technical point of contact, effectively communicating complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1215 years of hands-on experience in 

  Identity & Access Management (IAM)

   and platform engineering roles.
• Strong expertise with 

  Ping Identity

  , including:
• Ping Directory
• PingFederate
• PingAccess
• PingCentral and other Ping Suite components
• Deep proficiency with 

  AWS services

  , including 

  EC2, S3, IAM

  , and 

  CloudFormation/Terraform

  .
• Extensive experience with 

  CI/CD tooling

  , particularly:
• GitHub Actions
• TeamCity
• Octopus Deploy
• Strong scripting and automation skills using 

  PowerShell, Bash, and Python

  .
• Proven ability to design and operate 

  enterprise-grade, highly available IAM platforms

  .

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Exposure to 

  AI technologies

   and their application within IAM or identity governance use cases.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as 

  BFSI

  .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in 

  Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering

  , or a related field.
• Relevant IT or business tertiary qualifications are desirable.
