Staff Nurse (OT)

Location: Kuzhuppilly, Vypin

Experience: Minimum 2 year

Responsibilities

• Assess the Operation Theatre and allocate duties of the day.
• Arrange the operating room and ventilate the room.
• Take culture swabs from operating table, trolley and the wall for confirming the sterility of the room.
• Arrange the instruments and equipment necessary for the surgeries of the day.
• Check the patient in the pre-op receiving area by checking the name and hospital number, file, consent for surgery and medications to be given intra-operatively.
• Shift the patient to the theatre after informing the surgery team.
• Assist patient to shift to the operating table and assist in positioning.
• Pre and intra operative procedures by inserting intravenous cannula and administering the prescribed medications as per doctor’s order during surgery.
• Position the patient according to surgical procedure.
• Prepare and drape the patient.
• Assist in surgery either as a circulator or as a scrub nurse.
• Assist as well as operate the electro surgical equipment.
• Verify swabs, instruments and needles count together with the circulator pre and post operatively.
• Cleaning the instruments and equipment used.
• Send the instrument sets to the CSSD for sterilization.
• Assist in shifting the patient to the recovery room.
• Fumigating the operating room.
• Updating the theatre register by entering surgeries of the day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Kerala Registration Certificate (Preferred)
