JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title

Staff Nurse - NICU

Reports to (Title)

Reporting about the progresses and processes to Nursing Superintendent.

Role Objectives :

To monitor and take care of the healthy, critical and sick new born babies.

DESCRIPTION OF CORE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibilities :
• Answer to the parent’s queries and concerns about the new born babies.
• Check the baby temperature regularly.
• Change diapers and feed the baby from time to time.
• Administer medicines as per the doctor’s prescription
• To take care of the babies round the clock.
• Keep the parents updated about the baby’s progress.
• Work in the neonatal intensive care unit and look after infants in incubators or on ventilators.
• To coordinate infection control program and fumigation protocols in department.
• To ensure cleanliness of all apparatus, equipment, furniture etc.
• Carrying on the duties assigned by the Senior Staff Nurse.
• Also handle wards as and when required

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATION : GNM / B. Sc Nursing

2. EXPERIENCE : 2 - 5 Yrs.

3. LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE :

Good knowledge of written and spoken English; Excellent understanding of local languages and Hindi.

4. SKILLS REQUIRED :

• Demonstrate an organized, effective and timely approach to all tasks.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to act as part of a multi – cultural and multidisciplinary team.
• Professional and personal flexibility.
• Ability to cope with stress.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
