Staff Nurse

Role Overview: As a Staff Nurse, your role is crucial in ensuring excellence in patient care by providing high-quality nursing services. Your objective is to nurture patients through the process of recovery from illness to wellness. Key Responsibilities: - Rendering direct nursing care to sick patients as assigned by the Ward In-charge. - Communicating with patients" relatives and other hospital visitors, explaining the nursing care & needs of the patients. - Preparing patients physically and mentally for treatment, operative, and diagnostic procedures. - Closely monitoring the health condition, including initial assessment, monitoring vitals of patients, and following the progress of each assigned patient till recovery. - Maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing care & observation of patients. - Administering prescribed medication to patients. - Performing specialized nursing procedures related to the unique needs of a particular patient population based on nursing privileges. - Assisting the medical staff in ascertaining medical treatment for each assigned patient. - Maintaining hygiene of patients. Other responsibilities: - Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of the ward. - Ensuring proper sterilizations and disinfection of the equipment according to the requirement. - Maintaining privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of nursing care. - Assisting the ward Sister in writing staff and students reports. - Participating in the checking of inventories, equipment, and requisitions of all supplies. - Coordinating and cooperating with other departments. - Maintaining public relations with patients" relatives and other departments. - Helping in the orientation of the students. - Performing such other duties as are allotted from time to time. Qualification Required: - BSc or Diploma (GNM) in Nursing from an accredited university/institute. - 0 - 3 years of experience as a nursing professional. - A valid nursing license.
