Staff Nurse - Female

The Staff Nurse position in the Nursing department requires a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery / B.Sc. Nursing qualification. As a Staff Nurse, you will report to the Nursing Superintendent and be responsible for delivering patient care by administering prescribed medication and monitoring its effects. Your duties will include providing nursing care to patients according to established clinical practice standards, collaborating with other disciplines for effective patient care delivery, and actively participating in nursing practice quality improvement programs. Maintaining positive interpersonal relations with subordinates and seniors, promoting a safe environment for patients, visitors, and coworkers by implementing hospital infection control policies, and conducting initial and reassessment of patients within defined time frames are crucial aspects of this role. You will also be responsible for checking the daily inventory of medicines and equipment, providing pre and post-operative care to inpatients following protocols, and offering health education to patients when necessary. Additionally, you will instruct IV Class staff on patient care routines, including cleaning, changing bed sheets, patient sponging, and biomedical waste management supervision. Prioritizing emergency cases, coordinating with consultants or respective departments, maintaining departmental documentation, treating all patient, staff, and organizational communication confidentially, and engaging in quality assurance/quality control activities are essential responsibilities. You will be expected to perform all assigned tasks promptly and efficiently, participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives, and adapt to any additional responsibilities as required by the work exigencies.,
