Staff Engineer Frontend (React)

As a Staff Frontend Engineer at our fast-growing, innovative SaaS product company, you will play a pivotal role in defining and shaping the frontend architecture. You will lead by example as an expert individual contributor and collaborate with a passionate team of engineers to build pixel-perfect UIs, scalable frontend systems, and delightful user experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable, performant frontend architectures using React, TypeScript, and modern SPA paradigms. - Build reusable design systems, component libraries, and tooling to empower developer productivity. - Lead the adoption of Generative AI technologies to enhance product experiences. - Guide the team in evaluating and implementing AI-powered features with strong performance and UX focus. - Set the frontend technical vision, best practices, and guardrails across products. - Mentor and coach developers, review code, and drive engineering excellence. - Work closely with design and product teams to deliver high-fidelity, interactive, pixel-perfect UIs. - Engineer real-time collaboration features, live editing tools, and spreadsheet-like interfaces. - Continuously monitor, profile, and optimize frontend performance (responsiveness, rendering speed, bundle size). - Champion accessibility, type safety, testability, and developer productivity. - Take complete ownership of major features and architectural decisions from ideation to delivery. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience building complex web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend stacks. - Deep expertise in React, component-driven architecture, and state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query, etc.). - Strong understanding of SPA frameworks, ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive web design. - Proven experience in frontend performance optimization (caching, memoization, rendering strategies). - Familiarity with browser APIs, web standards, and build tools like Webpack or Vite. - A track record of building and scaling design systems, component libraries, and modular codebases. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
