As an Embedded QA Engineer at ChargePoint in Gurgaon, Haryana (India), you will play a crucial role in the electric mobility industry by conducting functional, integration, and system-level testing on embedded systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Python, performing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing, and ensuring the long-term stability and robustness of embedded systems through performance, reliability, and regression testing. Collaboration with development and hardware teams, participation in system architecture design, code reviews, and project discussions, as well as documenting design specifications, system requirements, and test procedures will be essential aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing on embedded systems. - Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Python. - Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing. - Ensure performance, reliability, and regression testing for the long-term stability of embedded systems. - Collaborate with development and hardware teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Participate in system architecture design, code reviews, and project discussions. - Document design specifications, system requirements, and test procedures. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience with embedded operating systems such as Linux or other real-time OS (RTOS). - Proficiency in programming languages like Python or any scripting languages used for test automation. - Familiarity with hardware communication protocols (UART, CAN, etc.) and tools like JTAG, debuggers, and emulators is a plus. - Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) particularly in embedded environments. - Problem-solving mindset and strong analytical skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly. - Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and development tools. - Board level testing experience would be a bonus.
