Staff Backend Engineer

Role Overview: At CleverTap, you will be a Staff Backend Engineer responsible for contributing to the systems that drive real-time, data-driven customer engagement at a massive scale. Your role will involve shaping the architecture, leading technical direction, and addressing challenging engineering problems in distributed computing, data processing, and large-scale platform design. Key Responsibilities: - Work on high-impact projects involving innovation in areas such as large-scale data retrieval and analytics, security, performance optimization, and fault-tolerant systems. - Collaborate with various teams including product managers, QA, designers, and engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from design to deployment and optimization. - Make architectural decisions, solve complex problems, and drive technological advancements in the projects. Qualifications Required: Must have: - Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience. - Possess 5-10 years of experience in backend development, demonstrating proficiency in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale applications using Java. - Exhibit a solid understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and core Java concepts. - Showcase strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Demonstrate a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality releases. Good to have: - Practical experience with MongoDB, Redis, and AWS. - Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like Vue.js.
