Job Description

As a Staff Software Developer at Nuvae, you will play a crucial role in architecting and scaling next-generation healthcare AI platforms. Your responsibilities will include designing large-scale AI systems, leading the development of ML pipelines, designing scalable infrastructure, collaborating with product and research teams, ensuring system performance and reliability, mentoring engineers, and staying updated with GenAI advancements. - Architect and design large-scale AI systems for revenue management and conversational intelligence platform. - Lead the development of end-to-end ML pipelines, including training, evaluation, and deployment of LLMs and agentic AI systems. - Design scalable infrastructure for information retrieval (RAG), multi-agent workflows, and healthcare-specific knowledge integration. - Partner with product and research teams to translate healthcare workflows into AI-powered solutions. - Drive system performance, security, and reliability for large-scale deployments in hospitals and healthcare networks. - Mentor and guide engineers on best practices in AI system design, MLOps, and large-scale distributed systems. - Stay updated on GenAI advancements and implement cutting-edge capabilities into product suite. Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in ML/AI systems. - Strong experience in architecting LLM applications with a focus on RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic AI frameworks. - Ability to design and scale distributed, fault-tolerant systems handling large volumes of data. - Hands-on expertise with Python, modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), vector databases, and orchestration frameworks. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and MLOps tooling for CI/CD, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI systems. - Familiarity with healthcare data (claims, EHRs, RCM workflows) is a plus. - Strong systems thinking with the ability to balance architectural vision and hands-on coding. - Excellent collaboration and leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and building high-performing teams.
